More Snow!

I woke up to 12" of new snow here at the house! Just when all of the snow melted from this winter a new batch is upon us. I'm stoked to see it though, we need more water in Lake Davis - With more water there is more fertile shallows for the trout to feed in. Right now the lake is in a tomb of snow and ice. I'm jonesing to get out there but it will be while. The Middle Fork Feather river will be opening this coming Saturday from the A23 bridge down to the Mohawk bridge. Though water temps will be too cold for good fishing there is a good chance you can hook some big browns, I like to use a fast sink tip with zonkers in olive/white. Concentrate your casts in the slower deeper water and pools. Well, it's time to plow once again.......
