Eagle Lake Water Levels

Are we about to loose the greatest still water in the west and the ancient Eagle Lake Rainbow?  If you have visited the lake this year then you know just how low it really is. 

 This is the water level in the fall of 1998 at the airport tulles looking south east out to Pelican Point.

                                                                                      

Here is the same bucket shot from the same location on 1/31/10 and very high and dry, I estimated the lake being down by as mush as 10 feet since 1998.  Uncooperative weather patterns, a big leaking pipe, and upstream water diverters have left this jewel of a lake in peril.  You can help by joining the EAGLE LAKE GUARDIANS who's mission is to ENHANCE & PROTECT EAGLE LAKE WATER LEVEL, WATER QUALITY, FISHERY AND AVIAN HABITAT.  Please contact Val Aubrey at;
